The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has officially launched a new online platform called the Drug Integrity Test and Visa E-Administration System (DITViCAS).
The system is designed to simplify and digitalize the process of obtaining drug integrity test results and visa clearance certificates across Nigeria.
The unveiling took place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja, where the agency’s Chairman, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd), described the initiative as a major step toward improving transparency, efficiency, and public service delivery.
According to Marwa, the new portal will allow Nigerians to apply, schedule, and receive drug test and visa clearance certificates entirely online, eliminating the need for long queues or in-person processing at NDLEA offices.
The platform also integrates electronic payment, scheduling, and verification systems to ensure smooth and secure operations.
Applicants can now visit the digital portal to:
- Create an account and fill in personal details.
- Select a preferred test centre and date for the drug integrity test.
- Complete the test at any NDLEA-accredited medical centre.
- Receive official test results and clearance certificates online within three to seven days.
The NDLEA explained that the Drug Integrity Test is not limited to visa applicants alone.
It also applies to students, couples preparing for marriage, job seekers, and employees in sensitive positions — reflecting the agency’s preventive approach to curbing drug abuse rather than relying solely on enforcement.
Marwa emphasized that the introduction of the digital system aligns with the agency’s ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) initiative.
He noted that by cutting out manual bottlenecks and human interference, the NDLEA aims to ensure greater accountability, efficiency, and credibility in its public-facing services.
The agency also announced that private hospitals and laboratories that meet NDLEA standards can apply to become accredited centres under the DITViCAS platform.
This expansion will make drug testing more accessible across all states and regions of the country.
The new digital platform, Marwa added, represents NDLEA’s commitment to combining law enforcement with innovation — making the agency more responsive to modern governance standards and the expectations of citizens in a digital era.
